Volunteers make a difference in the lives of residents, patients, clients, consumers, and team members. Each year, more than 300 adults and teenagers aged 13 to 17, collectively provide nearly 15,000 hours of volunteer service to Christian Health. Their responsibilities are varied and extensive. Some assist with resident activities, play music, greet guests at the reception desk, or work in de Snoep Winkle Gift Shop. Others organize fundraisers or serve on the Board of Trustees. Families, corporate and community groups (scouts, civic organizations) are also welcome and we would love to connect with you to brainstorm ideas for your family/group!
Our goal is to make your volunteer experience a valuable one, while also benefiting residents and patients. Volunteering provides an opportunity to help others, meet new people, keep your mind sharp, explore careers in healthcare, and fulfill community-service requirements. There are many ways to make a difference at Christian Health.
First-time Volunteers, once your application has been received and your profile is complete, you will be contacted for a short interview. Volunteer placement will be based on volunteer interests and availability. Please know that all new volunteers will be asked to complete an orientation and training before beginning their first assignment.
