Rick DeBel, Chair of the Christian Health Board of Trustees, and Kenneth M. Morris, Jr., Chair of the Home Care Options Board of Trustees, are pleased to announce that Home Care Options has joined Christian Health. Home Care Options is a provider of home health care. This new addition to Christian Health expands the organization’s scope of services to include home health care on its campuses in Wayne and Wyckoff and in the various communities that it serves.
“Home care is a valuable resource for individuals to live safely in the place they call home, as well as in supporting older adults by allowing them to age in place,” said DeBel. “By expanding the type of care we provide, we are better able to fulfill our mission to foster health, healing, and wellness in the communities we serve.”
“Christian Health and Home Care Options share a common mission and vision to foster health and wellness for members of our community,” Morris said. “This new agreement will strengthen both organizations and provide additional valuable resources for those we serve.”
Home Care Options has served northern New Jersey since 1954. Now, with over 100 certified caregivers on staff and more than 65 years of experience, the mission of Home Care Options is to serve the expanding and evolving in-home needs of residents of northern New Jersey. Their in-home services are provided 24 hours a day and include care for those recovering from illness, assistance with activities of daily living, and respite care. They also offer a diabetes education program, seasonal cleaning services, house-call groceries, and care navigation assistance.
Founded in 1911, Christian Health also has deep roots in northern New Jersey. They offer residential communities for older adults, including independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing care, and memory support, as well as inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Their behavioral health services include outpatient counseling, a partial-hospitalization and intensive outpatient program, and an inpatient behavioral health hospital.
Christian Health welcomes Diane Silbernagel, who remains Home Care Options executive director and has joined Christian Health leadership. Douglas A. Struyk, CPA, LNHA, Christian Health President and CEO, has joined the Home Care Options Board of Trustees, which will continue to provide governance for the service line with Christian Health oversight. Home Care Options offices remain at 2000 Siena Village on Valley Road in Wayne, New Jersey.
“We are excited for our organizations to join together to ensure that premier home care services are available to those that need them,” said Silbernagel. “Through the shared resources and our unified team, we can enhance services to the community.”
“We are confident that this new relationship will benefit both organizations but most importantly provide those we care for with a more complete continuum of excellent care options,” Struyk said. “Christian Health is extremely excited about this time of growth and expansion in our organization’s history.”
