We are facing this unprecedented global pandemic together – as a community, as a country, and around the world. There is so much uncertainty during this time, but what we do know is that COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) will undoubtedly continue to evolve.
At Christian Health (CHCC), we have always and will continue to prioritize the health, safety, and protection of all those entrusted to our care, as well as all our clinical and non-clinical employees who give of themselves to deliver care and support.
Today, along with all health-care providers, an oncoming and devastating shortage of face masks/N-95 masks, protective goggles, isolation/surgical gowns, gloves, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) confronts us – an absolute necessity for our direct-care staff.
Moreover, health-care workers (physicians, nurses, and certified nursing aides) trained to perform clinical-care functions are working beyond capacity as we face a personnel shortage, as well. These heroes and heroines are missioners of health who have dedicated themselves to move toward those struggling with illness, outbreak, and disease, while the rest of society moves away from it.
We are calling upon all those who are certified to deliver clinical care to please come forward and offer the gifts, talents, education, and experience you have been blessed with to assist us at Christian Health. We are also calling upon all those in the community who may know of care leaders to spread this message to help and encourage a movement of giving.
We ask all members of our community to give of their clinical expertise and talent, along with their supplies and treasures, since we must band together to protect and care for the least of those in our community. PPE, such as face masks/N-95 masks, protective goggles, isolation/surgical gowns, and gloves are vital to protect our direct-care team members, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Without question, Christian Health cares for the most fragile and at-risk population. Our pledge to deliver quality care will not waiver, but our need for supplies and providers to step up is dire.
You can support Christian Health’s measures and efforts to keep our patients, residents, staff, and our community protected.
Please drop off PPE such as N95 or surgical masks, fluid-resistant gowns, non-latex gloves, face shields, and protective goggles to CHCC’s main entrance at 700 Mountain Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. Providers willing to give of their time and talents can call (201) 485-6581.
