On Tuesday, May 12, 2020, Gov. Phil Murphy issued an executive directive requiring all residents and staff at the state’s long-term care facilities be tested for COVID-19 to reduce its spread and ensure safe operations. CHCC not only immediately complied with the directive, but exceeded it by testing every employee throughout CHCC’s senior-life, mental-health, and short-term rehab services, programs, and residences, as well as support services. CHCC continues to be in full compliance with state-mandated weekly (or as required) testing of employees in our long-term care division.
CHCC continues to take every precaution to prevent the spread of infection and safeguard everyone on our campuses. We continuing to adhere to all regulations, including cohorting residents/patients with the virus, exercising isolation protocols, responsible deployment of CHCC team members, and frequent communication and education about safety and infection control.
We value transparency and will continue to update this site, communicate directly to family members, and make ourselves available to answer questions families may have about their loved ones in our care. We humbly ask you to keep our community and fellow healthcare providers in your prayers.
