We’re Taking a Stand Against the Flu!

To ensure the health and safety of our residents, patients, clients, consumers, and their families, it is important that we take steps to minimize exposure to the influenza virus. For the 2018 flu season, which runs through March, we are asking everyone to take precautions when visiting Christian Health (CHCC). In addition, we have implemented a new influenza vaccination policy for employees and volunteers.
As a condition of employment or volunteer service, CHCC requires annual influenza-vaccination for all employees and volunteers. Vaccination has been found to be safe and effective in reducing the risk of influenza and health-care related transmission. Employees and volunteers who decline the vaccine for an approved contraindication will be required to wear masks provided by CHCC in all patient areas. Wearing of a mask does not indicate that the staff member or volunteer is ill.
We encourage you to stay healthy this season by washing your hands, covering your cough, and visiting your primary-care doctor if you feel ill. If you are experiencing cold and flu-like symptoms, please refrain from visiting CHCC until you are fully recovered.
Thank you for your support in helping keep CHCC healthy this season!
