Ramapo and Indian Hills Face Each Other in Basketball Game to Support Stigma Free Campaign

WYCKOFF, NJ – The first Stigma-Free “Lime Out” basketball games between Ramapo High School and Indian Hills High School will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, and is open to the public. This regional high-school district rivalry will be taken to a whole new level as basketball teams compete to help eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness. Boys’ teams will compete at Ramapo High School, 331 George St., Franklin Lakes, and girls’ teams will compete at Indian Hills High School, 97
Yawpo Ave., Oakland. Varsity tip-off is at 7 p.m. Attend the game and take the mental-health awareness pledge to receive a “Stigma-Free” T-shirt.
“This is one visionary game where there will be no losers,” says Cathy Pilone, RN, MSN, NEA-BC, Director of Service Excellence and Patient-resident Experience at Christian Health (CHCC) in Wyckoff and a Wyckoff Stigma-Free task force member.
The event is a collaborative effort between the Ramapo Indian Hill Board of Education; Franklin Lakes, Oakland, and Wyckoff boards of health; CHCC; Faith Community Church in Wyckoff; and the Wyckoff Stigma-Free Committee. Funding for this event is provided by the Bergen and Franklin Lakes municipal alliances.
