We have always believed in the value and dignity of each person, no matter what challenges they might face. Today, Ramapo Ridge Behavioral Health (RRBH) continues our original mission of providing compassionate care to people with mental illness.
Ramapo Ridge is a 58-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital licensed by the State of New Jersey and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital consists of two divisions: a general adult psychiatric program and a geriatric psychiatric program, which specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses including, but not limited to, depression and Alzheimer’s disease. Both programs are designed for adults who require inpatient care, and full-time physicians are available to treat non-acute medical problems.
Patients in both programs benefit from a full range of treatment services. An interdisciplinary team develops individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals. The treatment team includes:
Daily therapeutic treatment includes individual and group therapy, medication, psychoeducation, therapeutic activities, and family support. Family members are included in treatment planning whenever possible and with the patient’s consent. When requested by an individual, faith integration is part of treatment.
