Understanding the different terms used in long-term care facilities can be a challenge for those who aren’t familiar with the industry, especially because many of them have overlapping definitions. For instance, although the terms “skilled nursing,” “assisted living,” and “nursing home” are often used interchangeably, they have distinct differences.
Skilled nursing care is designed for those who require 24-hour nursing care and significant assistance with daily living activities. This high-level medical care is provided to patients through treatment that can only be administered by licensed nurses and rehabilitation professionals. It is regulated by the U.S. Department of Health and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and practitioners must meet strict criteria and must have periodic inspections to ensure quality standards.

Dementia Care for Memory-Impaired Seniors

Our dementia care services are specially tailored to those with dementia and other cognitive disabilities. Our staff provides watchful, compassionate attention, and we offer a wander-prevention system. We also offer a host of special activities creates to meet the specific needs and abilities of our residents. Some activities offered include art and music therapy, gardening, pet therapy, fashion shows, parties, sing-alongs, and much more.

Post-acute Short-term Rehabilitation Services
Our rehabilitation specialists help residents with individualized care plans that meet their unique needs and focus on improving their quality of life. Our staff includes a variety of medical professionals who work under a full-time medical director, including on-site physicians, dietitians, clinical nurse specialists, geriatric nurse practitioners, and others. Specialized consultants include dentists, podiatrists, wound-care experts, and rehabilitation therapists who focus on physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Hospice Care
Fostering health, healing, and wellness may not always involve finding a cure for your loved one’s ailment. Sometimes it is about making the most of their remaining time and providing comfort and support in their final days. We provide inpatient end-of-life care to terminally ill patients who are not suited to in-home hospice care. We offer patients compassionate, 24/7 care by a team of caregivers and allow 24-hour visitation by their friends and family.
